发布时间:2020-09-20

As a unique dance of the ancient people in Zhongshan, it originated in the Song Dynasty, and was developed and popularized in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. A cruise activity is held after the sacrifices during the Buddha Bating Festival on the 8th of every lunar April. The drunken dragon dance has integrated the techniques of martial arts, e.g. Southern Boxing and Drunken Boxing, and juggling. During the dance, if the dragon controller comes to senses somewhat, the person holding the wine jar will make him to drink more andensure to keep him drunken so that the dance can reach the state of being drunken in steps but not in heart, and drunken in shape but not in mind. Prevalent in Macao and Zhongshan, including Changzhou, Zhangxi, Shaxi, Dachong and Haotou, the dance was included into the second batch of the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China in March 2008.
