To the Honorable President, Relighted States of China.
Dear Sir,
Perhaps it would be hard for you to realize the intense joy and gratification, it was to me to learn that your God given dream has apparently, at last come to function.Praises be to The God of race and nations in whose hand our every breath is.
Now very glad I was to learn of the great good arising from the promulgation of the simple story of the loyalty to his country of the so-called Father of our Washington! And what a great stimulant toward patriotism it forward to be our brothers in China.
Allow me for the sake of the great love I have toward you and the welfare of China to commend to you our beloved Lincoln and his course, when in great dark ages and under burdens vastly too great for the strength of mortal man during our great endeavor when he looked to the most High God and received that strength and guidance that enable him to accomplish that which has made him the beloved of our country for all time and the marvel of the age.May the infinite God guide you and your beloved country in the right and safe way, may He long preserve and open your life for Chinese great good.
I am sure other Christian men beside myself in America on learning of the sufferings in China from famine rejoiced to contribute of our means for the service, and hoping that our humble efforts in His name may illustrate to our fellow-men his great love and tender care for us all.
Yours for the redemption of China.
