Hong Kong,1st January, 1912

My dear sir,

This will introduce you to my brother Tse Tsi Shao (谢子修)who helped in the 1902 movement for the independence of China from the Manchu yoke.Mr.Li Rok financed the movement.

I will tell you all about this attempt to capture Canton city, preparatory to the declaration of a Republic, when we meet.

I am awaiting your instruction so please write telegraph to me direct or enlist your decision through my brother.

Mr.Chan Shiu Npok tells me that he will be leaving for Shanghai in a few days.

Did your receive my telegram of 31st December?

With kindest congratulations on your appointment to the first President, & with best wishes for the success & propriety of the first Republic of China.

I have just received a letter from our old friend Dr.Yung Wing,I enclose a copy of his letter for your guidance.

I strongly advise you to telegraph for his return as he will be of the greatest assistance to you in forming the greatest constitutions.

I also strongly advice you to enlist the services of the U.S.Democracts leader Mr.Jennings Bryan.

I know him, & can write to him if you desire it.
