President Sun Yat Sen.

My dear Mr.President:

Yesterday I mailed a package in your care to my friend General Homer Lea, because one Newspaper have represented him as being with you.Later I was informed he had not yet left England. As my purpose in writing to the General, was to bring to your consideration—the religious needs of China, with you (if the General is about)consider the package addressed to you and examine its contents.

I am strongly confident that China and its Sacred writings can be brought to the forefront of the readership of the world. In this work of interpretation I have the conscious help of the Living God.If I can have the sum of $2,000 as I would come to China myself. If this cannot be done, there main be some other way.I should need the cooperation and help of a native scholar and universal minded man.Can you put me in touch with either Liang Chi-Zsao or Ku Hung Ming.Let us share the whole world that the Sacred books of China are who inspired of God and that they contain the some ultimate and universal truths as other forefront books.

Hoping for your sympathy & interest.

I am your devotedly & sincerely,

George Charing

P.S.I send you under another cover, a sample of my Interpretation.
