My dear Dr.Sun,
I have posted yesterday a letter to congratulate your elevation to the Presidency of the Chinese Republic, and news avoiding the opportunity of your brother Mr.Sun Mee's departure from this place to write in addition these few lines, as the news, that are current here, from Canton are becoming worst from day to day, so great care shall be taken to pacify the Kuang Tung in order that the Powers shall have no reasons for any mediation.
Immediate orders shall be given to stop the recruiting of Chinese Amazons, as you are well aware, they are useless and will serve only to blunder the matter into greater disorder.
I beg to call your attention to the answer given in Morning Post leader to an article published in the New Year Herald about the Great Britain mediation. The simple answer of “It is very easy to set up a puppet and then knock it down”, calls for many things to think and consider on the past of the Chinese Republicans.
Meantime, wishing your every success & hoping to hear from you as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,
F.H.Fernandes
