Shanghai, 31st January, 1912

Dear Sir,

This letter will serve to introduce to you, Mr.David Fraser, who arrived here from Peking a few days ago, bringing with him a letter of introduction to me from Dr.Morrison.

According to Dr.Morrison's letter, Mr.Fraser has been associated with The Times on and off for some years past, having done work for them in such out-of-the-way parts of the world as Persia, Turkey, Kashgaria, Tibet and Manchuria. He has written an important book upon the revolution in Turkey and in Persia, and a still more important work on The Marches of Hindustan .He accompanied the Tashi Lama on his home-coming from India to Shigatse in Tibet. His knowledge, therefore, is comprehensive. He has now come down here as a war correspondent for The Times.I am sure you will be glad to receive his visit and give him any help you can in connection with our great movement.

Yours Sincerely,

Wen Tsung-yao

To His Ex.Dr.Sun Yat-sen,The President.
