Monday, Feb.5.
Dear Mr.President:
I enclose copies of the telegram of this morning.I did not wire it because of the length, but which you may be interested.Of course it is dated from Nanking, because I date all my wires from there. It dignifies Nanking.
I am leaving here tomorrow morning for Nanking in company of Dr.Tenney of the American legation and Mr.Frederick McCormick an old member of our force & a well-known author & magazine writer. If you will give me ten minutes in Tuesday afternoon between 3:30 & 4:30, you would do me great honor & help me.You might perhaps consent to receive Mr.McCormick at the same time.
Believe me,Most faithfully,
Russell Kennedy
H.E. President Sun Yat Sen,Nanking.
