Shanghai, 6 Feb., 1912

To my dear President,

I am returing to Shanghai today, to help in the formation of the Hua Chiao Lian Ho Hue, which Gu Eng Pney is trying to establish.

As I have no personal friends here, except those who are near you now, perhaps you may arrange for me some quarters near these friends or in your Bureau.Otherwise I shall remain in Shanghai till you send for me, for there I can do something in the cause, study and work.Hotel life here does not permit me to work.

The above address will find me.I shall stay with a friend a few days or go to a hotel.With my best regards.

P.S.I hope you will remember I have come only as a friend to assist you in every way & does not want any reward of post or pension.I ask for none.You need therefore fell you have no host for me.I want to serve the motherland, therefore I obeyed your call at once.
