THE CHINESE TRACT SOCIETY

Shanghai, February 20th, 1912

To the President of the Republic of China,Nanking.

Dear Dr.Sun,

Allow me to congratulate you on having taken a stand in favor of Religions toleration and keeping the Sabbath.

It will tend to make other nations esteem us as a Christian nation which I hope firm hence-forth we shall all try to be.It has been long laid upon my heart to under to suggest to you to have a private chaplain to conduct service for you on Sunday, and if possible open the the senate with a few words of prayer thus acknowledging God and seeking his blessing on the country.

It seem to me this will go for to secure God's blessing and make us appear in the eyes of the world a Christian nation.

“Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Provert.14:34.

“Blessed is that people whose God is the Lord.”

Ps.144:15.

And we all know how when god's people forsook Him, He forsook them.

Yours very respectfully,

Zee Vee Wai
