Sir，
I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your kind letter informing me that the president had been generous enough to agree to send me one or two of his best photographs to enable me an Honorary Treasure of the Italian Benevolence Society to perform therewith an act of charity.
I beg to abide by this generous promise and trust soon to have the pleasure of receiving the photographs.
