Thank you for your kind letter of March 5th.Your Opium Commissioner Mr.Shay Ying called on me today.I shall be glad to help in this important work in every possible way.I expect to come to Nanking on next Monday， with my secretary Mr.Tu.I shall hope to have an opportunity of seeing you again and talk over this matter.
