Bridge House Hotel,Nanking, 9-3-1912

To His Excellency President Sun Yat-sen,Present.

May it please your Excellency,

I have been considering in which capacity my qualification would be most useful to this country's welfare as well as to your good self and I have come to the conclution that if your Excellency could get me appointed as an adviser to the minister of war in which capacity I served for 10 years to the ministers of war in Siam.I could perhaps be of future help in the establishing and of putting this sadly, foreign oppressive grand old country on a footing equal to others world forms as well as to be of great material help and assistance personally, to the cause your Excellency has given your lifetime to perform, and if required could accompany you on any journey for the welfare of the Republic.I opine, these would be little notice taken by foreign powers an a/c of coming from a country insignificant to the worlds politics, I could take the Chinese Naturalization now or later if required should there be such act in force in this country and am sure on my part the Republic and your good self should have no cause of regret failing the above to put me on your personal staff as adjutant or some sort of advice in anticipation.

I beg to remain your Excellencies,Most obedient servant,

B.Schade
