CONFIDENTIAL PROPOSAL.
It has been universally known that the China Merchant Navigation Company is growing around it a spirit of inertness were dangerous than revolt， as open insurrection and rebellion can be put down by troops，whereas in these pressing circumstance and critical moments in which the said Company is at present placed in a matter of great anxiety to her life， foundation， and existence—which she has already been suffering and debilitating with debts， yearly， to disgrace her reputation，and fraught with danger， but if， by employing veteran of well practice， and qualified in shipping works， who has thorough knowledge of the Shipping Rules， Acts， and Regulations for economy's sake to frustrate the perfidious dark designs of those in Offices to suck the Company dry like miniature vampires to satisfy their private ambitions to ruin the Company， would undoubtedly save the company about $300,000 yearly， positively.
It was a maxim which had established from time immemorial and which there is no hesitation to express the result of experience in all ages that：in every success in life， and in business， equally certain in every career that uses the right man in the right place.As the position that involves in trust in this particular question is that， as to whom is entrusted is bound to be faithful， diligent， honest， and perseverant， and to excise rigid economy in the discharge of his duty， and by such he is bound by the confidence confided on his industry; and in the pursuit of duty—experience， firmness to such a degree to turn the matter to the best account—sparing no pain nor trouble is the prominent point of consideration to reap success are the most omnipotence guiding angel.
Experience speaks abundantly in its favour if whole hearted-earnestness， firmness and resolution are acted upon at once to overcome obstacles—to crown with unremitting success， yearly， is the most important harbinger to develop her interest， perpetually， what are the Company's business without profit， while expenditures increasing with accumulating leaps and bounds yearly is over considered the ring of false conveyance which Napoleon Bonaparte said in 1813.
