Yang Rizhang (1919~1944), from Cuiheng Village, and graduated from Prime Minister’s Hometown Memorial Secondary School, and once taught at Shimen Primary School. He joined the anti-Japanese people’s movement in 1941. In May 1942, after his elder brother Yang Rishao died in an anti-Japanese battle in Fuwei, Yang Rizhang joined the anti-Japanese guerrilla detachment asrequested by his motherthat he shouldcontinue hiselder brother’s will, and joined the CPC in July 1942. He served as leader of the first squadron of the detachment led by the headquarters of the Nanhai-Panyu-Zhongshan-Shundeguerrilla area in October 1943, and leader of the Zhongkai Squadron of the Zhongshan People’s Anti-Japanese Volunteer Brigadein January 1944, and fought with Japanese and puppet troops many times. On April 15, 1944, Yang Rizhang died in a fierce battle when attacking the 15thsquadron of the puppet sand guarding brigade in Zhangxi.
