"Exhibition of Paddy Rice Cultivation"

To protect the rural history and natural environment, we control this paddy field and maintain its original appearance for cultivation of paddies. Double cropping paddies are grown in the local place. For the early paddies, the seedlings are generally transplanted during "Qingming" and the harvesting will occur around the "Slight HeatDay" in July. After the early paddies are harvested, the entire paddy field needs to be irrigated to transplant the seedlings of the late paddies around the beginning of autumn. According to a proverb of the local farmers: "春争日夏争时，立秋前后要插田" (Seize the day in spring and the hour in summer; seedling must be done around the beginning of autumn). By November when "Beginning of Winter", the late paddies will start to ripen,hence comingthe local saying that "‘立冬'三日满田红" (Ripenpaddiesare all over the field 3 days after ‘Beginning of Winter').
