Overview of Sun Yat-sen Hometown Scenic Spot


The Sun Yat-sen Hometown Scenic Spot in Cuiheng Village, Zhongshan, Guangdong boasts a superior geographic location that adjoins the Pearl River estuary on the east and the Wugui Mountain on the west, and is close to Hong Kong and Macao, opposite to Shenzhen and Hong Kong across the Pearl River estuary, 20 kilometers away from the urban area of Zhongshan City and 90 kilometers away from the urban area of Guangzhou. The spot consists of five core zones, namely the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, Cuiheng Ancient Village, Zhongshan Town, the 1911 Revolution Memorial Park and the Litoujian Mountain, with a total area of 3.15 square kilometers, and presents historical relics of Sun Yat-sen from birth to the revolutionin an all-round way.

On November 4, 2016, the spot became a national 5A scenic spot, being the first in Zhongshan and the 12th in Guangdong, and also the one featuring culture in the province.
