Yang Xinru’s former residence is located in Cuiheng Village, Nanlang Town, built in the Qing dynasty, and rebuilt during the Republican China period, facing east, being a two-storied masonry timber building with three bays, blue brick walls, a gabbled roof and a building area of about 300 square meters.It is a representative of local traditional civil residences. Yang Xinru (1868~1946)was a childhood close friend of Sun Yat-sen and one of the founders of the Taiwan branch of the Revive China Society, and once participated in the planning of the Guangzhou and Huizhou Uprisings.
In September 2009, Yang Xinru’s former residence was listed as a key protected cultural relic of Zhongshan City.
