Feng’s Ancestral Temple

The Feng’s Ancestral Temple is a masonry timber building with three bays and two corridors, locatedin Cuiheng Village, Nanlang Town, built in the Qing dynasty, with a floor area of 118 square meters. It was formerly the ancestral temple of the Fengs in the village, and used as the village school in the late Qing dynasty to offer elementary education to the village children. During 1875-1878, Sun Yat-sen studied here with his classmate Lu Haodong, and objected mechanical memorization, leaving over many anecdotes. We have performed protective maintenance on this temple many times.

In November 2000, the Feng’s Ancestral Temple was listed as a key protected cultural relic of Zhongshan City.
