This area consists of two provincial-level protected cultural relics- Yang Yin's former residence and Lu Haodong's former residence, and the Party Member Education Base of Guangdong Province. Included therein are Yang Yin's former residence displayed in its original state and the Yang Yin Memorial Exhibition,Lu Haodong's former residence displayed in its original state and the Lu Haodong Memorial Exhibition, and the Exhibition Hall for Education of Party Members. It has become a place essential for the education of the Party members in Zhongshan and Guangdong, achieved satisfactory social benefits and played an adequate role as a base for the education of the Party members in Guangdong Province.
Lu Haodong's former residence is located in Cuiheng Village, Nanlang Town, built in the
late Qing dynasty, facing east, with a floor area of 446 square meters and a building area of 215 square
meters, being a typical masonry timber building with three bays and two corridors, in a simple
architectural style. There is color painting decoration below the eaves, and a wood couplet on the gate.
The Lu Haodong Memorial Exhibition is present here. There is a courtyard in the front, where Guangdong
flowers and trees are planted. Martyr Lu Haodong (1867~1895), renowned as the first person sacrificed
for the republican revolution in China's history by Dr. Dr. Sun Yat-sen, lived here in his youth.

June 1989, Lu Haodong's former residence was listed as a key protected cultural relic of Guangdong
Province.
Yang Yin's former residence is located in Cuiheng Village, Nanlang Town, built during the
years of Qing Emperor Xianfeng's reign, also known as "Han Xiang Tang", with a floor area of 244
m2, being the former residence of early CPC revolutionary leader and famous workers' movement
leader - martyr Yang Yin. Yang Yin's former residence is a typical masonry timber building with three
bays and two corridors. It has three halls and two gallery rooms, the bedrooms on both sides are divided
into two floors by boards, and the kitchen and the grain processing room are on the left. The building
has a granite slab foundation, blue brick walls, a gabbled roof, exquisite eaves boards, and
Western-style teak wood louvers. The window heads have Western-style plaster molded ornaments of local
characteristic fruit, such as litchi, bergamot and star fruit. There is a full set of mahogany armchairs
of the Qing dynasty in the main halls, and the god loft has exquisite and splendid wood carvings with a
bright lacquer. There are still signs of robber digging in the late Qing dynasty and gun shooting during
the Anti-Japanese War on the outer walls. The indoor reproduces furnishings used when martyr Yang Yin
lived here, and has the Yang Yin martyr Memorial Exhibition.
