English letter of Francisco Fernandes to congratulate on Dr. Sun Yat-sen's election of Provisional P

Paper, one page. On January 11, 1912, Francisco Fernandes wrote to Dr. Sun Yat-sen to congratulate his election of Provisional President of Republican China. Dr. Sun Yat-sen took this piece out of Nanjing when resigning from the office of Provisional President, and handed it to his eldest brother Sun Mei in Macao for keeping. It was later kept by Sun Mei's grandson Sun Man, and donated to us in December 1982.
Francisco Fernandes (1863-1923) was Portuguese residing permanently in Macao, and an intimate friend of Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
