The festival falls on September 9 of the lunar calendar when people will ascend a height to look far into the distance. After the reaping of the early crops, people will hold the activity of "tasting fresh rice" to celebrate a bumper harvest. While all clans will hold the autumn worship in their respective ancestral temple, all families will hold their familycelebrationand offer sacrifices to their ancestors.
