Yang Rishao (1918-1942) was from Cuiheng Village, Xiangshan (today's Zhongshan), Guangdong, and born in Dalian. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1938. In 1939, he served as a squadron leader of the Wugui Mountain Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Detachment, and the leader of the first squadron of the detachment led by the CPC Nanhai-Panyu-Shunde County Committee. In May 1942, he died in a night assault on Fuxu at the age of 24..
