Yang Yin (1892-1929), also known as Guan'en, Dianle or Mingkui, was from Cuiheng Village, Xiangshan (today's Zhongshan), Guangdong. He followed Dr. Sun Yat-sen's revolution in early years, and joined the CPC in the autumn of 1922, dedicated to the worker movement and underground intelligence activities. He was an important organizer and leader of the Canton-Hong Kong Strike and the Guangzhou Uprising during 1925-1927. In June 1928, he attended the sixth CPC national congress, and was elected as a candidate member of the standing committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Head of the Central Military Department. In November of the same year, he became a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. August 1929, he was arrested and killed in Shanghai at the age of 37..
