Paper, one album, 23 pages. This is an album of calligraphy by Kuang Lu in the regular script, transcribing Ouyang Xiu's famous article Zhoujin Hall Record in the Tang dynasty, inscribed with: “Month 2 of 1642, Kuang Lu” and stamped with “Kuang Lu’s seal”. Collected seals: “Qiubo Hall”, “Small Rong'an Hall”, “Xiangen”, “Small Rong'an Hall's collection”, “permanent collection by offspring”, “collection of Maxu Hall in Yangxi”, etc. This piece was formerly collected by Li Xiangen, and donated to us by his eldest son-in-law in 2007..

Kuang Lu (1604-1650), also known as Zhanruo, was a famous scholar and calligrapher from Nanhai, Guangdong in the late Ming dynasty. In the late Ming dynasty, he defended Guangzhou against the Qing army, and died for the country after the fall of the city..
